Oxygen supply through the aeration process is a vital foundation for improving the health of water in ponds. By ensuring the availability of sufficient oxygen, biological processes in the pond ecosystem can run optimally, reducing the risk of excessive algae growth, promoting ecosystem balance, and creating an environment that supports healthy aquatic life.

Dissolved Oxygen supply is needed by nitrifying bacteria where aeration bubbles will automatically expel dirt attached to the biological filter media. With aeration, the pores of the biological media will remain maintained so that they are not closed to the growth of aerobic bacteria
